This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #520
Snow and cold air have returned to southwestern Pennsylvania with a vengeance. Since one should never be caught with an empty gas tank when cold air arrives, I made sure to fill up at Sunoco on Mt. Pleasant & Urania on my way home from work. I left Michael Crichton's "The Andromeda Strain" on top of the gas pump for the next conscientious driver (and hopefully, reader) to find.
