I was in the mood for steak tonight, and as it takes Mom very little convincing to eat out rather than eat in, off we went to Texas Roadhouse. One steak, one chicken breast, two baked sweet potatoes, four hot rolls with cinnamon butter, two salads, and countless peanuts later, we were on our way out the door, but not before I left "Red Dragon," by Thomas Harris, on the back of the tall bench in the waiting area. This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.
