This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Books Read in 2010
Another year has come and gone and my mind is 80 books richer--that's 11 more than in 2009. Here is a list of the books I finished in 2010. You can follow the links to their journal entries on BookCrossing; those books without a link were either borrowed, or are in my permanent collection for the moment. My favorite reads this year? Lamb, by Christopher Moore, Stardust, by Neil Gaiman, and The Help, by Kathryn Stockett, not to mention my rereads of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C.S. Lewis, and The Giver, by Lois Lowry.

Of this list, I have read:
Neverwhere
Eclipse
A Fortunate Life
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Breaking Dawn
Of those, I'd say the best was probably 'A Fortunate Life'.
I enjoyed "A Fortunate Life" quite a bit, but the audio I listened to was an abridgment. I'd be interested in reading the whole book someday, if I ever get off the summit of Mt. TBR!
