I was fully expecting to eat at home this evening, but was surprised by Mom's suggestion that we head to Applebee's in Mount Pleasant instead. The bench in front of the restaurant looked empty and lonely, so I left "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm," by Kate Douglas Wiggin, there to keep it company.
