Luckily for me, I am never up early enough in the morning to indulge myself at the bakery in Panera Bread. Instead, I spend dozens of lunch hours there, when the lure of creamy tomato soup is greater than that of a chocolate pastry. Today, I left "Baker's Fatal Dozen," by Lisa Harris, in the suggestion card rack between the front doors. Bon appetit! This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.
