This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #122
I celebrated not having to work today by meeting my mother for breakfast at Eat 'n Park across from Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg. I took the opportunity to leave another book at one of my favorite (but so far ineffective as far as journal entries go) drop spots: on the newspaper machines on the sidewalk outside. Rachel Pastan's "This Side of Married" was left on top of the Tribune-Review box around 10:15 a.m. and was still there when I left around 11:30 a.m. Write home soon, little book.
