This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Releases #404 & #405
The price of gas has dropped to $3.49 a gallon, and since the level in my gas tank has dropped as well, I stopped to fill up on my way home from work. I left John Irving's "A Widow for One Year" on top of pump no. 10 at Sheetz. I had to pick up a few things for dinner at the grocery store, so I dropped "The Joke Book," by Roy McKie, in the seat of a kiddie cart inside the Eastgate Giant Eagle.
