This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Releases #432 - #438
The Humane Society of Westmoreland County hosted its annual Whisker Walk today at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg. Sister No. 6, Niece No. 2, Dog No. 1, Cat No. 1, and I all enjoyed the absolutely gorgeous day in the outdoors. While there, I took the opportunity to release a few themed books along the walking path: "The Headless Ghost," by R.L. Stine; "I Spy Spooky Night," by Jean Marzollo; "Poppy," by Avi; "Mallory Vs. Max," by Laurie B. Friedman; "Spooky Rhymes and Riddles," by Lilian Moore; "Bridge to Terabithia," by Katherine Paterson; and "A Dog Walks into a Bar...: Dog Jokes So Funny You'll Beg for More," by Tim McGee.
