This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #554
Things just were not as they seemed today. First of all, I was at the Rite Aid drug store on Route 130 in what I always thought was Harrison City, if not Level Green, but it turns out to have an Irwin address. Second, the phone booth outside said Rite Aid was phoneless. It was just an empty shell. This actually worked in my favor, as I was able to leave "A Necessary Woman," by Helen Van Slyke, in its phoneless cubbyhole.
