This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #617
Mom and I were in search of a steak and a TV that was showing the Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game, so we headed to Applebee's in Mount Pleasant, where I left Irving Wallace's "The Miracle" on the bench outside the front door. The steak was delicious (though the veggies were swimming in a too-salty-too-buttery sauce) and the Penguins won. What could be better? Maybe a quick catch! Fingers crossed.
