This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #913
My mother is very susceptible to advertising, particularly Olive Garden ads on TV. Within days of seeing a commercial for their newest entrĂ©e, she suggests that we go there for dinner. Guess what she saw a few days ago. That's right—an Olive Garden commercial. Guess where we went for dinner tonight. That's right—Olive Garden. Not that I minded too much: 1) I didn't have to cook; 2) their food is usually quite edible; and 3) the benches outside are a perfect place to leave a book. Guess what I put on the bench outside the Olive Garden in Greensburg. That's right—"Full Blast," by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes.
