This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #882
I saw a high school musical today (Grease, at Greensburg Salem) and I had grand plans of leaving this book at the high school before the play started, but I arrived later than I expected and my plans never got off the ground. I thought I'd leave it in the parking lot as we were leaving—someone would be sure to pick it up on the way to their car—but that didn't quite pan out, either, since we were some of the last people to leave. I finally ended up leaving it at The Meadows Original Frozen Custard in Greensburg, justifying it as a themed release because it's decorated in the style of a 1950s diner, and "Grease" takes place in the 1950s!
