This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Releases #905 & #906
It was one year ago today that Portuguese BookCrosser Snowshoee passed away while waiting for a heart transplant. Although I didn't know her in person, I did follow her progress on the forums and grieved when I learned she lost her battle. As part of the worldwide mass release in her memory, I went to Twin Lakes in Greensburg and left "The Supernaturalist," by Eoin Colfer, on the path down to the upper lake, and "The Diary of a Young Girl," by Anne Frank, on a swing by one of the pavilions near the playground. Please consider becoming an
organ donor. I'm one.
