This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #136
Sister No. 3 asked me to pick up Niece No. 2 and a friend from their high school play practice last night since she was unavoidably detained elsewhere, and being the wonderful aunt I am, I agreed. Besides, I thought it would be a good opportunity to release a book while I waited for them to come out. It was too cold to leave the car, and I was reluctant to be observed by all the other people waiting for their little thespians, so I asked my niece to release "I Was A Teenage Fairy," by Francesca Lia Block, in the school this morning. I hope she remembered to take it with her!
