This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #501
It seems like such a long time since I have been to Blockbuster, trading in a movie and leaving a book behind. Today, rather than leave one inside, I left one outside on top of the garbage can on the sidewalk outside the entrance. I sincerely hope that someone picks up "Half-Moon Investigations," by Eion Colfer, and takes it home before someone else decides to pick it up and put it *in* the garbage can.
