This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Releases #165 & #166
Two catches in a row seemed to deserve two wild releases in a row, so I left Jeffrey Deaver's "The Empty Chair" in an empty chair in the service department at Kenny Ross Ford in Adamsburg, followed by Eoin Colfer's "The Opal Deception" outside of Panera Bread in North Huntingdon. The Deaver release was the first ever BookCrossing book officially left in Adamsburg, Pa. Here's hoping it's the first catch soon!
