This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #192
It's been another beautiful day in the neighborhood, but rain is in the forecast tonight, so I wanted to leave a book in an indoor location. I went to The Home Depot to look at a new lawnmower, and I left "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel," by Virginia Lee Burton, in the carpet aisle on a display of children's play mats.
