This blog follows my adventures in BookCrossing--the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. It is a fascinating exercise in fate, karma, or whatever you want to call the chain of events that can occur between two or more lives and one piece of literature.

Wild Release #312
I'm leaving to go to the beach in a few days and I am in the market for a new beach chair--one that has a cup holder so I can stay hydrated, and a canopy so my delicate skin doesn't fry. That's what led me to Dick's Sporting Goods at Hempfield Pointe during my lunch hour. They didn't have the chair I was looking for, but I did leave a book on a Coleman camp chair set up by the camouflage section: "Bloody River Blues," by Jeffery Deaver. It seemed an appropriately titled book for that section of the store. The search for the perfect beach chair is to be continued.
