The very first SSM way back when was to leave a book hanging from a tree outside a local newspaper or media office. I wasn't a member of the site back then, but I thought it was a great idea, so I was pleased when this week's SSM was so similar. I left "The Shipping News," by Annie Proulx, outside the front door of the Tribune-Review newspaper office in Greensburg. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be the key to inspiring many new BookCrossers.
